Hello everyone! Just some reminders about the intersquad meet this week. The meet will star at 6pm. Warm-up will start at 5:30pm, and swimmers need to be at Springs by 5:00pm. We need a couple helping hands, so please consider signing up on the sign-up genius. Click the "volunteer sign-up" button to the right.
Please keep sending emails for the fundraiser. Be sure you enter them on the athletes page on the website so they can get credit for the emails. Awards will only be given out to people who enter their 20 emails! We're at 2,500 so far, and still climbing. Keep it up!

Good Morning everyone, Attached you will find a weekly newsletter the booster club will be creating for us every week. A couple of words on our fundraiser. It's called snap fundraising and it is all donations based. Simply, the more donations your swimmer gets using their link, the more prizes they qualify for. The most important part of this is getting everybody to enter 20 quality emails into the system. This can be grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins or crazy neighbors. When your swimmer gets home today, please have them log in so you guys can input these together. This totally relies on effort and involvement.

Store closes on 9/9. Please make sure to order before then as no orders will be accepted after that to ensure a timely delivery by the Black and Blue Meet. Everybody must purchase the blue shirt (short or long sleeve) and a swimsuit. 3Fundraiser: Remember this Thursday is our first fundraiser at NRG stadium. The Texans have asked us to be there by 3:00pm. We will have 15 parking passes to give out when we meet in the parking lot at Clear Springs. Please consider donating some of your time this afternoon, as we need 24 people to be there for it to work out. Concession Donations Attached is the list of donations we are asking your family to donate to the program as a way of raising funds at our concession stand during the swim season. Please be sure to get the name brand soda or Gatorade listed next to your name and a 24 pack of water. The booster club is also offering a $20 buy-out as an alternate to purchasing the items listed. Please drop off your donations at the pool or Coach Ford’s classroom before school between 6:30-7:00 or after school between 2:40-3:15 by Tuesday, September 4th. Team Dinner: On Thursday, September 6th, we will be having a team dinner to celebrate the start of the season. The Wilson’s have kindly offered up there home to host. It will be potluck-make your swimmer’s favorite dish and send it with them! If you’re interested in helping Mrs. LuLu in put this on for us, please send her an email at [email protected] Booster Club Meeting: Our first general membership booster club meeting will be September 13th. The booster club board would like to open this meeting up to all parents as a chance to get to know each other. We will have membership forms available for those interested. Senior Pictures: Senior parents, when you get the chance please send an 8x11 (same as a regular piece of paper) for us to put in the entry way of the pool.
Students and Parents, With Try-Outs and the first day of school completed, we need to turn our attention to our first fundraiser of the year. On August 30th, we will be at NRG stadium volunteering for the Texans Organization. We need 24 people there in order for this to work out, so it is crucial that we work together. Parents, please reach out to other parents concerning carpooling options. If this succeeds we will be off to a great start! Hello and Howdy to all our Charger Parents! Very excited to have completed try-outs and to have our training groups set. At the end of this post I have attached the results from yesterdays make-up tryouts. On that list, swimmers will see who is in their training group in an effort to help your families organize ride/carpool situation by the time practice starts. As a reminder, these are not hard and fast JV/Varsity teams. Those will not be set until our intersquad meet on Thursday September 27th. Speaking of, before and after school practice will start Tuesday September 4th. The first two weeks of school we will be taking time to fill out paperwork, assign equipment, and the rest of that jazz. This is a good time for our incoming freshman to get in a routine and our returners to show them the ropes. You athletes will not be able to get in the water until all of their paperwork has been turned in. Team Suits/Apparel This year we are having the athletes vote on one of three suit options I've picked out for them. We'll do this during the first two weeks of school. When those are set, we will set up an online team shop for parents to go to purchase their athletes suit and team shirt. We're doing this in an effort to streamline what is usually a pretty painful process. Every swimmer is required to wear a Clear Springs Aquatics shirt to every meet we go to. There will be three/four choices available in the team store for them to chose from. Hoping to have this up by September 1st so we will be ready to rock at our "Black and Blue Meet." Fundraising Our amazing booster club board has hit the ground running and already scheduled our first fundraiser. On Thursday, August 30th we will be volunteering at NRG stadium before their pre-season game against Dallas. I'll be wearing my Cowboy Blue so if you guys want to drown me out you'll have to show up in droves. It is vitally important that we have as many parents and students actively involved in these fundraisers as most of them are dependent on participation. Although you do not have to be a booster club member to help out, I will attach the membership form to this post so you have a chance to join. Our first booster club meeting is still TBD but please be prepared to recieve that information soon. Picture Day Our picture day for swimmers is scheduled for Thursday, October 11. You'll notice on the updated schedule this is also a meet day. We will take pictures at Springs at 3:30pm and load to bus to go beat Lake immediately after. Please be aware this is also a tutorial day, so it would be a good idea for all the athletes to stay on campus for tutorials that way they are on time for pictures. Packets for purchasing options will be available from the photographer on the day of. Updated Schedule: Please be aware the schedule has changed since May and I have attached the new and final form to the end of this post. Join the Remind: Go to remind.com/join and type in "csaquatics" under class code. This will give you the most up to date information as possible. To Sum Up: Thursday, August 30th: First fundraiser @ NRG stadium. More specific time information to follow. Thank you to all the kids who came to try outs last week. Coach K and I think everybody did great and were happy about the turnout. Below is the list of who is in enrolled in which period as of right now. Both these lists will grow after the make up try outs. There were no cuts, everybody was put into a period. If you were at try outs and don't see your name on this list please contact Ford ASAP so we can get it sorted out. Make up try outs will be August 13th and 14th. Please be reminded that in order to be on the team and enrolled in the period you must attend this session. Quick reminder that physicals must be turned in to the trainer in order to participate in try-outs on August 2nd and 3rd.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful and relaxing summer so far. To those swimming this summer, I hope that your swimming fast! You guys send me an update if you think about it. After talking with the counselors we've come to the decision to move try-outs to August 2nd-3rd. We came to this decision in an effort to make the athletes lives much easier. They are being given their schedule during the week of August 6th-10th, and we wanted to be able for that to be their final copy. Having try outs were we originally had them (8/13-8/14) could've possibly changed their schedule and caused a headache for everybody invovled. Being aware that some of you may have planned around this date, we are offering make up tryout dates on August 13th and August 14th. Attached is the updated try-out flier. If you know that a student-athlete has asthma; they need to have this form completed with their physical. We will not accept their physical without the asthma form if they mark YES to having asthma. I wanted to get these to you if you would like to post them on your sports’ website. Please only use this physical form so that there is no confusion on having a complete one; all four pages must be completed and signed. Once again; we will not take any in-complete physicals. I will be here collecting physicals the first two days of SAC camp; June 11th and 12th. We will then be back full-time starting Monday, July 30th. Please do not collect physicals if we are not here.
